Kerala Govt has decided to make testing more widespread. At present, samples are taken of those cases that meet most symptoms. From now, even cases that show only one or two symptoms will be sent for testing.

Rapid testing will also be part of the regime.

Kerala Govt starts distribution of ₹8500 to 54 lakh people under its near universal pension scheme. ₹1000 to all households that do not get pension. 15 kg rice and a kit of pulses and condiments of₹1000 to every household . And 3 lakh free meals .Part of anti Covid19 package.

Kerala confirms 24 fresh cases, announces CM Pinarayi Vijayan.

9 fresh cases have recent overseas travel history, rest infected through contact. Total 265 cases so far. 191 of them have travel history, 7 were foreign citizens& the rest 67 infected through contact.

27 tested -ve& recovered, including four foreigners. Two people died.

Kerala becomes the 1st state to introduce quick and cheaper Blood test along with time consuming swab test for CoronaVirus Testing.

Blood tests will give results in 45 mins to 2 hrs.

Once Blood test shows +ve, swab test will be done for reconfirmation.

4603 relief camps opened for 1,44,145 migrant guest workers. 35 camps opened for 1,545 homeless& destitute people. All given food, masks, soaps, sanitisers etc. Local Govts to feed stray dogs& monkeys who are starving as streets& temples emptied.

Kerala Govt confirms 39 more Covid 19 cases, total active cases now 164, the highest in India.

13 recovered so far, including one yesterday.

Out of fresh cases 34 from Kasargode, 2 from Kannur, one from Thrissur, Kozhikode and Kollam.

Ernakulam District Collector S Suhas : Kerala State Civil Supplies Corporation will start delivering essential food products online in Kochi from March 27 within 8 kms of Gandhi Nagar area. A contract has been signed with Zomato for the delivery.

Govt of India will pay the Employees’ Provident Fund(EPF) contribution, both of employer and employee, for next 3 months.

This is for businesses which have upto 100 employees and 90% of them earn less than ₹15,000.
